And they are gonna try to stick by it no matter what happens.Ī sad sad turn of events indeed. They have made their "business decision". As Walter Everett argues in chapter 2, the spare setting and the. That red storm has sold out to their ubi masters and made a cheap.(yes face it its cheap what they did if you analyze the work on it thus far) yes cheap console shootem up they actually said they was gonna PORT TO PC!!Īnyway, I don't think a polite letter will get noticed either. As chapters 2 and 3 in this volume detail, the seeds of the White Album were planted in Rishikesh, where the band members wrote nearly forty songs (Spitz 2005, 752), most of which ended up on The Beatles (see table 1 of chapter 2 for a helpful list of these songs).
I thought they was gonna do a tremendous pc title then later port it to the consoles. I thought they would dive more deeper into the nuances and details of special forces missions.or even general military type ground missions at all. I thought they was gonna have a 3d engine that would beat or equal half life2, doom3 or whatever else they got out there.
I always believed right up til now that they was gonna pull out all the stops on the gr2 pc project. Prozac360 was the first one to suspect how awfully pitiful gr2 was going to be. I thank you for your time and wish you all the best I would appreciate if you passed this along to the Ghost Recon 2 developers and that they or someone from RSE or Ubi please address these issues at some point.
Quite simply, those of us who have been loyal Ghost Recon fans (especially PC players) are looking for RSE to recognize that we really do want to make Ghost Recon 2 a success but that we are concerned at the direction the series is taking. Certain aspects of the current game such as the ability to pick up enemy weapons or a medic that heals wounded team mates simply does not fit into the realism precedent set by the. In an nutshell, we feel that the "tactical realism" that we have long associated with Ghost Recon has been lost in this new version. Those of us in the PC community feel let down that we, who made the the success that it was, are being neglected in favor of a "one size fits all" solution for the current game. To the PC community, this would be a mistake as it does not take advantage of the inherent advantages in both graphics and other areas that a PC possesses over an X-Box. Quite simply, those of us who are PC owners feel that the developers are treating the PC version of this game as an after thought - we were led to believe this by some of the comments that were made during the recent E3 Expo in Los Angeles by developers who stated that the PC version of the game was simply going to be "ported" over from the X-Box with very little modification. However, I'm writing to you today to express my concern (and that of many in the gaming community) over the direction that RSE has chosen to take the highly anticipanted Ghost Recon 2.
I am writing to you and your company as a loyal fan of Red Storm Entertainment's products as I have owned everything from the first Rainbow Six game to Ghost Recon and have been nothing but pleased with the product RSE puts out consistently. I doubt I'll get a response but perhaps if enough of us sent letters of this type (and in a nice tone), they'd pay some attention.
In it I hoped to express some of our views in a polite and cogent manner. This is a copy of a letter that I sent to RSE earlier today.
